I can't believe it. This is incredible. My little Victoria...a wisp of a child sitting on my lap as her Dad drove my wife and me around the urban and rural neighborhoods in Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia during our annual visits to their home. We'd be making up silly songs and she loved them. And when and she her husband moved to Yerevan, birthplace of my favorite writer, William Saroyan, I harbored fears for "my baby". How would they fare in a strange land?

I followed her blogs and was convinced she was "home". Today, she is as much an Armenian as she is Filipino-American. God has gifted her with talent for writing and the musical arts, love of nature and her fellowman, and generosity to share her gifts with one and all. She is God's child...a blessing to our troubled world.

God, give us more Victoria Infantes that we may find what we most need -- global peace, universal joy and reverence for the flora and the fauna you have given us to savor during our tenure on your planet. Amen.
