"armenian people of karabakh want independence"- this will never happen! What about azeri people of Karabakh? They also deserve to express what they want and they want to return to their homes in Shusha, Khojali, lachin, kelbejer, agdam etc and benefit from the Caspian energy resources (Azeri) which the whole Azerbaijan benefits and live in peace and prosperity! If you Want to see peace and prosperity in Karabakh then this territory the highest autonomy within Azerbaijan and this will only happen if ordinary Armenians stop listening to their criminal leaders such as sargsyan, kocarian from karabakh and their nationalistic diaspora!!!!

And we all know what you mean by 'highest autonomy.' You actually mean subjugation and assimilation. We haven't forgotten what happened to the cemetery in Julfa. Perhaps next time, Azerbaijan won't pick a fight it can't possibly hope to win.

What prosperity? Ilham Aliyev is a despotic, dynastic, petroleum-fueled dictator who'd rather fill his pockets and buy multi-million dollar mansions in Dubai than actually fix the multitude of issues plaguing his country. Baku is a showcase capital, and outside this glitzy 'gem' on the Caspian is extreme poverty, lousy infrastructure, and environmental issues caused by oil production. While many poor folks on the Caspian are breathing in oil fumes, Aliyev lives in luxury, all while being a autocratic who imprisons journalists and silences the opposition, all while encouraging an environment that promotes a furious hatred of Armenians. We're overly nationalistic and you're not? Hypocrite.

I'll take Serjie and his band of oligarchical cronies over his majesty, King Aliyev, any day. Armenians and the people of Artsakh are better off without him.
