I don’t think “FEAR TO SPEAK UP” comes from the fact that a member of the authorities may or may not be Armenian. That’s just absurd and has nothing to do with the situation at all, but it’s a good way to get your point across. Yes, I agree…not many Armenians are included in the police department BUT that is OF PERSONAL CHOICE. That has nothing to do with the fear of speaking up or calling a police dept and saying “hey can I speak with one of you Armenian cops.” That just makes no sense. I don’t believe the Armenian community is afraid to speak up because of any of that….I believe it’s because of doubt and shock. See, what Jacob said MAY be true in SOME cases, but that’s like saying (and this is just an example) the Asian community won’t speak up because there aren’t many Asians in the police dept. It’s just an opinion. Once again, when we make statements..we really need to try and make EDUCATED ones that others can look at and use as an example to something else.

This is such a sad story; first dad and sister is killed, then mom is killed. I’d like to condole the family member whos family has been tragically murdered.

Like the JusticeNeedstoBeServed said “Armenians are known to shut-up, instead of being courageous and taking a stand on these issues. I’m sure, someone out there knows something, has heard someone fuming about something. Even if you think what you know is too little or too insignificant to matter, please SPEAK UP ASAP, call your local police department as soon as possible. Come on! This young girl lost her whole family. Let’s get her the justice she’s yearning for. Don’t let this serial killer loose in our community.” Armenians need to speak up.

Oh, but, wait a minute; does American police department understand Armenian? Pfft, forget about it.

PDs like, Glendale and Burbank (two large cities where many Armenian speaking nationals reside) are tend to not hire policemen of Armenian descent! This I know, because I’ve paid a citizen of US to get Academic education to become a Police. We will test this again, once he applies his qualifications with the GPD and BPD. And, even though we’ve spend so much efforts, we still doubt that the student of PA is likely to be hired.

By this, I’d like to urge all Armenians to SPEAK UP! CALL THE POLICE AND SPEAK TO ARMENIAN ԽՈՍԵՔ ՀԱՅԵՐԵՆ: Then, let them deal with it. I’m sure they will realize how important it is to have peace officer of Armenian nationality in cities with large Armenian population.

To make such a ridiculous and stereo-typical comment such as the one made above about “Armenians being known to shut-up” and that they aren’t “courageous” is just upsetting. For someone to have to title ONE SINGLE RACE as being “afraid” of speaking up is totally disturbing and it came across as being very racist. I’m sure it’s not JUST the ARMENIAN race that CHOOSES NOT TO SPEAK UP. I’m sure there is a certain issue in every race. The statement made above just baffles me. It takes an educated person to really look at everything as a WHOLE. We need NOT to be so SIMPLE-MINDED and if we are going to open our mouths to state an OPINION such as the one stated above; we should really think about others who are going to READ this. ARMENIANS are the only ones known to “SHUT UP”??? How professional. It’s human-nature. It’s called FEAR and fear is NORMAL. It’s called GREIF. It’s called DOUBT. It’s called SHOCK. Look those things up. It has nothing to do with not being courageous. Think about it, the only people who could’ve known about this guy were the people CLOSEST to Karine and the people CLOSEST to Karine were in no shape to speak up…were in no shape to think…no shape to do anything, but wonder WHY. They were going through a lot and if it took a little time to speak up…THAT’S OK because they needed their time to THINK. You can’t just ACCUSE without THINKING. We’re talking about MURDER here…it’s a serious case. I’m sure family and friends had their reasons and I’m sure in ANY CASE SIMILAR TO THIS, RACE WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SPEAKING UP, but it has everything to do with being accurate, being sure, and making the right decision.

This is indeed a sad case. this innocent 12 y/o is going through a terrible time. Just like similar age children went through during 1915-1923.

We need to pray for this child and the rest of her family!
