Awesome article about such a simple, yet primordial part of a Middle Eastern breakfast. My mother would tell me how this was the daily breakfast in Syria and Lebanon, and when they came to Canada, they somehow quickly switched to peanut butter and toast. We've recently gotten back in the habit of eating it regularly. :)

They used to even say that eating zaatar in the morning would make kids smarter and be more alert in school, hehe. ;)
