Congratulations, Danny, on what sounds like a very successful Peace Corps experience!!! And thanks Ianyan for featuring his story. I was in the 10th group of volunteers to serve in Armenia, and I loved Armenia so much I ended up returning and working for another two years and brought home an Armenian husband.

Hope the Peace Corps and Armenian partnership is a long and fruitful one.

The same thing is all over in all of the former Soviet Union. Same kind dirty bathrooms in every country of Soviet Union. Change is slow.
Once Baku, before 1918 was an Armenia town, in 1918 Germans & Turks from Turkey invaded it and took it over from Armenians because they wanted the oil. Early 1990 there were still half million Armenians living in Baku & Sumgait. All of them were expelled, some massacred, when war erupted between Karabagh and Azerbaijan.

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, Armenia-Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia, are so similar, unbelievable. I wish my country Armenia to have closer relations with it's neighbours. I agree.
