I personally resent the fact that diaspora Armenians take the license to present the Armenian culture as a simple culmination of dolma, tea, and imbecile jewelers. I think it’s offensive, and it completely disregards the fact that we’re also a progressive people, with lots of smart and educated people. And to top it all off, the offense cannot be made any more searing with that paragon of pseudo-culture, Perez Hilton, behind it all. Let him take his comedy to the black culture and re-enforce racist notions there, and let’s see how warm the black community’s reception will be.
