Watch This: Youthful Dreams in Nagorno-Karabakh

“I can live with any good people, regardless of the color of their skin, regardless of their faith”  say Artyom Hakobian, in a report filed by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty about an entire generation of young Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh who are reaching adulthood in a changing world.  As a settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan possibly looms over head, it could  “mean an end to years of isolation and the return of large numbers of Azerbaijanis displaced by the war.”

In this short, yet meaningful report RFE speaks to Armenian youth with a variety of opinions in Nagorno-Karabakh about the possibility of a settlement between the two countries which have been in turmoil with each other for decades.

Perhaps more telling than the actual video is the one comment left on its page by a user: “Karabakh Azeri are not welcomed in on Armenian soil.”

The clip below is about one minute shorter than the original, which you can find here. Find more information on the region of Nagorno-Karabakh here.
